Free Community Church

Free Community Church is Singapore’s openly LGBT-affirmative church, with a congregation of diverse individuals and families gathering to worship and grow as a Christian community.

Oogachaga

Oogachaga is a non-profit, community-based counselling, support and personal development agency for LGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families. It is the most established LGBTQ+ organisation in Singapore, having started in 1999. Counselling services are available face-to-face, through phone, WhatsApp or email.

Rest@Hark

Rest@Hark is a safe space for transgender persons who need a listening ear. It is also a space for cisgender people to get to know transgender persons. People can come here to listen to others and share their stories. Open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 6pm. Email us at contacttransgendersg@gmail.com to get in touch.

Safe Space™

Safe Space™ is a Singapore-based digital mental healthcare provider. They have worked with the T Project to train trans-affirming therapists on issues such as challenges facing the trans community and how to support trans people in their mental health. The therapists who attended the training are highlighted on their social media.

The Healing Circle

The Healing Circle is a safe space for queer Muslims to embrace their spirituality.

The Relational Counselling Studio

Andrea Mayrhofer at the Relational Counselling Studio (22 Eng Hoon Street) is experienced in taking in clients who are LGBTQ+. Enquiries are welcome by phone (+65 94373705), SMS or e-mail (andrea.mayrhofer(at)therelational.com.sg).

The T Project

Founded by transgender activist June Chua, The T Project is committed to empowering the transgender community in Singapore. The very first transgender organisation to be registered in Singapore, they run a shelter for homeless transgender people and the Alicia Community Centre, which provides counselling for trans and gender-diverse people with trans therapists; hosts great community events and runs sensitisation workshops. TransBefrienders

TransBefrienders runs a social support group for transgender youths and young adults seeking or considering transition. Aside from the peer social group that meets up to discuss a variety of topics, you will be assigned to a TransBefriender.

A Discord channel for transgender, intersex and non-binary people in Singapore, mostly youths.

WARNING: TransgenderSG has received comments from the community that there can be toxic behaviour in Transcend, despite the moderators’ best efforts. In addition, Discord collects information on everything you do in the programme – nothing is private. Read this Reddit thread.

Trans* it! (under The Purple Alliance)

Trans* it! aims to support trans* identified individuals in their lives, be it their social or physical transition, or just to provide a listening ear and increase trans* visibility in Singapore. This exists as a WhatsApp group.

SgButterfly

One of the first online resources for transgender people in Singapore (mostly trans women), now on Facebook. Most of the information is outdated but we’ve just included it to recognise the important role it once performed.

RainbowAsia

RainbowAsia aims to build a safe and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ people in Singapore and Asia.

Trans Study Support Scheme (under TransBefrienders)

The study support scheme provides academic mentorship and guidance for trans students taking the N, O or A Levels as private candidates.

Inter-University LGBT Network

The Inter-University LGBT Network is a network for organisations in Singapore universities to collaborate in fostering safer and more inclusive school communities for everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

Young Out Here aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ youths in Singapore and build a social support network between its participants.

Families

Proudly Parents

A social support group run by SAFE Singapore and TransgenderSG. This provides friendship and support to parents of trans, intersex and gender-diverse children. Privacy is safeguarded and respected – new members usually meet for coffee with one of the organising parents. ProudParents SG

ProudParents SG — not to be confused with Proudly Parents — is founded and run by a group of queer parents. It aims to be an inclusive online resource that celebrate all families, while increasing the visibility of all family types and fostering acceptance of all routes to parenthood in Singapore.
